toxic waters really worry me. all that damage in japan everything spilling into the ocean lands here...
another ship that will leave here full of trees from this beautiful area, our natural lands are being raped at an appalling rate and their bounty sent over seas...
another great sign and they are all different with each being the types of whales you will see standing there in front of that sign

Maggie
just right of Maggies shoulder on the right side of the frame is a white spray and a rock, it's.....
seal rock....
the edge scared me I stayed up on the platform with a railing to brace against even with 5 woman jumping up and down screaming welcome to the whales...
the light house on Tatoosh Island.
bird life
beautiful wave
beautiful coast looking north....
love the wave cascading off the low rocks....
the whole gang, yes I was there ! just after this picture I believe we had opened snacks from my pack and some one had said we needed to do a whale dance... so of course a few of us did, I called for them and here is where its gonna get difficult to pick pictures so forgive the blurry ones and remember that I have 5 woman jumping up and down on a wooden platform built almost on the edge of the continental united states, and keeping in mind also, that we had about one hour ten minutes of sightings!over 400 pictures for the day trip! ....... Enjoy!
thar she blows !
and as the ladies jumped up and down yelling whales !!! they came closer......
isn't it beautiful!!
they were getting cheered on to come closer and so they ....
.... did !
tail!
different color barnacles
they almost look black and white!
and still closer they come.....
TAIL ! (best tail of the day.)...
WHOO HOOO!
and closer to us they come.....
I was told by our whale expert that they were grey whales feeding on the bottom and rubbing barnacles off on the rocks
only one rock away now....
see the scratches on her ?
I am sooo excited
love this one too....
more tail!
rubbing on the rocks??
TAIL!
I will add the rest tomorrow I am exhausted from my day :)
okay on to the second half an hour with the whales.....
while we were distracted this little guy took advantage of snacks....
whale tale and in the foam below & to the right of the tail is a dark shape
...tis this guy trying to silently leave the area!
they were so close to the point of land I am on that I cannot see them I am holding my camera out at arms length Thank God for auto focus !!
aren't they amazing??
the final tail of the day. Thank you God and the powers that be for such an amazing experience.
