Needing Tree Time

I seem to have the blaaaaaas.... I want to do so much for so many and cannot seem to get myself done.
retreat time was great time with great ladies, tho sadder somehow. I knew I would miss some of the girls, but I think the cancer influence had cast a cloud on all of us... It is always here, someone I know is dealing with some type of cancer......I feel so ? ...down, depressed, discouraged, heavy hearted, LUCKY it isn't me. I know how long and how much I smoked. I am glad I finally gave it up, tho there are times when I still miss that first drag...ahhhh....
I guess I just need some tree time. that usually snaps me out of it, maybe tomorrow I will take Ivy & go for a ride over to Quilcine....I haven't done a lot of exploring down that side of Puget Sound, if I am up to the drive....so look for beautiful pictures tomorrow. !
I have a favor to ask tho before I sign off, have you noticed less bugs & birds this year?
In Lynden around my Mom, the little birds are all  gone. I was up there for 10 days and saw nothing but crows and seagulls, and I was looking, as Mom is the one that noticed the lack of birds, also, I noticed tho Mom has rotting fruit on the counter there are no fruit flies.....odd..... flys have been plentiful, but the fruit fly population is somewhat missing. when I got back to the Olympic Peninsula I saw wrens and other small species, but the Robins and Thrushes that are usually abundant year round are strangely missing, but  we have fruit flies... Mom told me that in the bible somewhere it says that, in the end times one third  of everything will die.  Cheerful thought isn't it ? and that  may be where all the blaaaas started....
Have you seen a woolly caterpillar this year ? take a picture is you do ! I haven't seen one in 2 years !!
