so much to catch up on ! after we left Boston we had 2 days in New York with family. Jamey and Bonnie had a gathering in Appalachin for Bonnie and Billy birthdays. good people(Dad, Uncle Ray, Kim Kent....many others) good food(Brozetti's Pizza) and cool cakes(thanks to Jimbo) glad we got to spend time with them all.
then I got to spend and afternoon & evening with Dusti. we went to the race track, threw them some money had Bruce Slate come over for lunch and went to Debbie's for a soak in the hot tub. all time flies so fast....
then it was on to the Larmore family reunion in McKee Kentucky.with the trailer demanding brakes before we got to Robert & Phyllis' we met up with cousins last seen in Johnnies' youth,Debbie and Dennis Gates. Good turnout and great fun, with a civil war re-enactment to see, but COld.....
from here we headed to Missouri, we did not get to see Johnnie's Dad, as he was tired from a trip to the Dr. earlier in the day and we left the next morning early. we then went by Jobie's sisters house in Arkansas,I saw signs for Toad Suck, then on into Texarkansas, in a driving hard rain storm.
Who Knew it rained in Texas ?? the Arkansas Texas border was wet I took pictures from the truck but they are not very good.
we spent time in San Antonio while Danise and Lloyde were with thier kids in Houston.
We spent time with Grandsons and Shaylyn going to a game farm & seeing the Missions of San Antonio.
then with Danise & Lloyd behind us once again we headed west for El Paso. we drove by the Mexico border where bad things are happening, over 2000 people killed just so far this year, we went on into Anthony, New Mexico and set up the campers, in a snow storm. I am wondering about this snowbird stuff....hummmm...
after oil changes and regular mantenance on trucks and campers we head for our time we all get to see New Mexico on our schedule...so we go 30 miles from El Paso to Las Cruces.... our truck makes a bad noise in the steering column, have to find a garage...luckily we found an honest one but still are 2 days with out our rig. thank goodnes for Danise & Lloyd. we saw White Sands(here at the gift shop Johnnie got a new flute ) we saw a space Museum and the largest grouping of petroglyphs in the world we drove out a very twisty road to see the Gila Cliff Dwellings only to arrive to tired to do the walk we will go back there tomorrow :) early and prepared for the hike.I am surely leaving something out but time is ticking and I would like to get some scraping done in Danise & Lloyd's album so enjoy what pictures I can get loaded. !
