American crisis

where is the money ?? why are companies going under ? when I balance my check book if it is off I spend days looking for my error, aren't companies suposed to know where thier money is ??

Have you seen the e-mail that says stop the bail out send it to Americans over 18.......

Hi Pals,
I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve it Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+ Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up.. So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billion that equals $425,000. My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let's assume a tax rate of 30%. Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back.
And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( 'vote buy' ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President. If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up. Here's my rationale.
We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can 'never work. But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! How do you spell Economic Boom? I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC
And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

do you know when you are young in your 20's working hard raising a family, you wished you didn't have to work? well in my 40's I was in an auto accident and now I cannot work. For those of you that think thats great...think again. I am now 45 with $4500. put away for my retirement (that word no longer means anything in my world) and no hope to add to it . I fight with a private disability company monthly.....funny how they never had a problem with me when I was giving them money out of every paycheck......we buy into insurance scams just in case the worst happens,,,, but I will keep you in my prayers for extra strength if it ever does. these people are worse than Lawyers (present company excluded,K), I have dealt with personal injury firms for the last 4 years and they are in my oppinion the worst of a breed. they and these insurance people are no longer welcome in my world. if I have any legal things to do any more I will endever to do them myself. but I get off task. Insurance crap...how is it that these people out weigh your states laws ? how is it they can call at 6am ? who made them above the law ?? and then there are morals, after 4 miserable years of going to every doctor they sent me to and all of them saying the same injuies.......the insurance company can and does say, "if there is something wrong with you prove it."

do you know what it is like to go back in there and see handicapped people physically worse than myself, able to hold down a job WTF ??? Brains are important.

people that know me that spend time with me understand, people that think they know me do not. the other night I was trying to cook super standing right in the kitchen with my back to the stove I burned the ricearoni I was trying to brown....didn't remember I had put it on untill I smelled it burning..I was litterally 2 feet from it.....I was a professional cook for 10 years.....WTF??

the finacial end of being disabled sucks I have all the time now to do the things I always wished for and not enough money to do them ! and gad gas prices make me miss my horse!!

where are we going as a country ? so many people just existing, almost going thru life in a daze, and people with the power of perswaysion( speeling?) and the gift of speech leading them along.

am I the only one thinking there are dark days ahead???

Hello again I think I have a permanant link to this site finally, provided computer doesn't crash....

I miss my girlfriends. I have been so blessed with friendship all of my life, I am not as good a friend as I used to be, tho they are all in my heart and prayers.

If I had money I would buy each and every one of them a ticket to Sadonna Arizona for Valentines day and we would do spa time , phsyic time, walk time, talk all the time, just be together.

Dusti, Karen, & Sallie are you missing me too ?? I know we all have great lives in different parts of the country and family around us, its great but somehow I still feel we are missing something....time together.

I am again lucky as here at home I have a bunch of great friends, Susan , Heather, Kristen, Virginia, Cindy, ....and the list goes on...

We mostly are scrapbookers so we get together a couple of times a year for a weekend retreat, what great fun we have and sometimes get some work done in our books tho that is not the priority !! fun and fellowship is.
